Top Ten Paintball Tips and Tricks

The sport of paintball brings both amateur and professional players together to have some fun out on the field. However, it’s important to know that if you want to become a better player, it takes a lot of learning and studying the game to do so. Furthermore, in this article, the top ten tips and tricks for paintball will be looked at and discussed.

Use the cover around you:

First and foremost, it’s important that any player uses the obstacles/cover them to their advantage. Rather than just standing out in the open where they can easily be shot and eliminated, it is best if they try to maneuver themselves into a position where they can scan the battlefield whilst also remaining completely insusceptible to enemy fire.

Keep your eyes moving at all times:

Secondly, another tip for any paintball player is to always keep their eyes moving in all directions. Rather than just focusing on one location (also known as tunnel vision), it’s important to continuously scan and monitor all your surroundings for enemy players as well as opportunities to gain the upper hand in the fight.

Use camouflage to your advantage:

Thirdly, in scenarios where a player may be playing in a forest or where there is lot of natural elements such as bushes, trees or brush, camouflage will really come in handy due to the fact that they will be able to navigate the playing field quietly and without be spotted by enemy players until it’s too late for them. Furthermore, camouflage is a must for any players whose main role in a team is to be a spotter, overwatch or sniper.

Work with your teammates and maintain communication:

The fourth and fifth tips that I can give you is to work with your teammates/in pairs as well as always maintain communication. First and foremost, when you work alongside your team, getting the objective completed is much more easier as everyone is working together to achieve one goal rather than it be every man for themselves. Furthermore, it is important to always maintain communication with your teammates as you will be able to trade back and forth information about the enemy team, etc.

Check your equipment/self regularly during playing time:

The next few tips (six, seven and eight) is to always check yourself from time to time. This means:

-checking if you’ve been hit if you think a paintball may have impacted you

-checking if your out of pellets/paintballs

-checking if you may have to reload

Know the rules and respect the refs:

The final two tips are to always know the rules of the game and to never step past those boundaries as it may result in someone being seriously injured. Furthermore, it’s also important to always respect the ref’s and to never start an argument or confrontation which may lead to worse things such as a fight or ejection from a tournament/game.
